Foot Prints / Night Eyes List
The City of Plainview Police Department conducts Close Patrol, patrol function in which specific residences or businesses are monitored regularly throughout a shift to ensure that the location is secure and to increase police visibility at that particular location, as requested or needed.
Two Close Patrol Functions
1) Residential Close Patrol (Foot Prints)
2) Business Close Patrol (Night Eyes)
A Close Patrol may be requested for any reason. For example, a resident may request their home be placed on the List while they are away for any length of time. It may also be requested because of recent criminal activity at a location.
The Close Patrol allows an Officer to check that all doors and windows are secure, no intruders or suspicious vehicles on the premises and that the property has not been damaged due to criminal activity such as criminal mischief or graffiti.
