September is National Preparedness Month, and the City of Plainview is encouraging citizens to sign up for Plainview Alerts to receive emergency, weather and other alert notifications. Citizens may sign up at www.plainviewtx.org and click on the “Alert” button.
Anyone needing assistance signing up for Plainview Alerts may call Al Longoria with the Emergency Operations Center at 806.296.1185. Depending on the size of your organization, city staff may be available to visit on-site to assist citizens in signing up.
Also, the City is encouraging businesses to prepare for emergencies. To assist your business in preparing for emergencies, the City has created a webpage featuring emergency preparedness information specifically to assist businesses. The page includes resources, risk assessment table and more and can be found under “Emergency Operations” on the City’s website.
For more information about Plainview Alerts or National Preparedness Month, call 806.296.1100.
