Downtown Plainview will kick off the Christmas Under the Stars Community Christmas Open House on Saturday, November 16^th from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. around the Courthouse Square (500 Broadway).

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with activities including Christmas-themed bounce houses, barrel train rides, crafts and letters to Santa, face painting, photo opportunities with holiday lights and extended shopping hours with downtown businesses. A wide variety of food trucks will be located at the Courthouse on 6^th Street and at Millennium Park on 8^th Street in Downtown.

The evening will conclude at 6:00 p.m. with hot chocolate, caroling, closing remarks and announcement of the Lighted Window Contest and merchant raffle winners. Then, join Santa and his elves in lighting the Christmas lights for Downtown in a bigger and brighter display than ever before!

The purpose of the Downtown Plainview Christmas Community Open House is to highlight Downtown Plainview and our Historic District for the holiday season, as our downtown businesses begin to fully transition to the holiday shopping season. This event is hosted by the Downtown Plainview Main Street program in partnership with the City of Plainview and Hale County.
