I’ve reported a water leak on my property. Crews have driven by and looked at the leak without repairing it. Why isn’t the leak repaired when they arrive?
When a repair crew arrives at the reported leak area, the severity of the leak is determined. If the leak poses a safety hazard it may be repaired after utility locates have been arranged (usually about two hours for emergency calls). If the leak is minor it is scheduled for a later date, usually within 48 hours.
