Letter of Commendation

Presented to

Lieutenant/EMT Carson Johnson

Equipment Operator/EMT Bruce Fowler

Equipment Operator/Paramedic Chris Chandler

Equipment Operator/ Advanced EMT Lucas Johnson

On the evening of February 1oth, 2021, you all were part of the Engine and EMS crew responding to a local restaurant for person choking. Once inside you encountered a patient unconscious, no pulse and insufficient breathing. With quick and efficient evaluation of the patient, you begin resuscitation efforts. Your professionalism and skill in treating this patient resulted in the patient surviving, regaining consciousness while in the EMS unit and leaving the hospital after a single night. Your heroic life saving efforts have not gone unnoticed and in fact have been acknowledged by your Captain, David Sells, who nominated you for recognition.

On behalf of the City of Plainview Fire Department and the citizens of Plainview, I would like to commend you for your actions that day that saved a life. Your dedication to excellent patient care clearly demonstrates your commitment to carrying out the mission of the Plainview Fire Department.
