The Plainview Aquatics Center is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 25th at 12:00 p.m. The Aquatics Center is located on the corner of 16th and Ennis Street in M.B. Hood Park.
The Aquatic Center will be open Monday – Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will be open throughout the summer.
The Center includes a main lounge pool, swim lanes, a rock wall, a children’s pool and splash pad,
and slides. There are also dressing rooms, lockers, showers and a concession snack bar.
Cost of admission is YMCA Members 13 and younger are $3.00 and YMCA Members 14 and older are $6.00. For the general public, 13 years old and younger is $5.00 and 14 years old and older is $8.00. Summer passport books are also available -- $27 YMCA members 13 and under, $54 YMCA members 14 and older, $45 non-members 13 and under and $72 nonmembers 14 and older.
Monday night open swim will be available from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. from June 3rd - August 12th. The Aquatics Center is also available for private party rentals, children’s group and swim lessons.
The City of Plainview contracts with the Plainview YMCA for management services for the Aquatics Center. This allows the City to take advantage of their experience in managing this type of facility as well as receiving their professional supervision and trained lifeguards onsite.
