In celebration of Texas Recycles Day, Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is thrilled to award a 2024 Texas Recycles Day Grant to Keep Plainview Beautiful (KPB)! Thanks to generous funding from Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, an Arca-Continental company, this grant is part of a $60,000 fund shared among eight communities across Texas. It will help boost and enhance the City of Plainview’s recycling programs, making a powerful impact on local sustainability efforts.

To assist with implementing their project, the City of Plainview / KPB has received $5,000 to begin and support their proposed community project. The City of Plainview Solid Waste Department will complete their project by June 2025.

They plan to create video commercials for social media and community presentations and organize events to educate citizens on the blue box recycling program.

In addition to Plainview, the affiliate communities of Coppell, Dickinson, La Marque, Mission, Real County, Snyder, and Victoria also received a 2024 Texas Recycles Day Grant.

“We’re incredibly appreciative of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages’ commitment to recycling initiatives across Texas,” says Suzanne Kho, Executive Director of KTB. “Their support strengthens local programs and empowers our communities to make a real difference in sustainability efforts statewide. We’re excited to see the positive impact these community projects will bring!”
